Pythonichthys panulus
Taxonomy
Pythonichthys panulus was named by Schwarzhans and Nielsen (2021). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is SGO.PV.1596, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Punta Chocoi, south, which is in a Burdigalian submarine fan sandstone in the Lacui Formation of Chile.
