Taxonomy
Agonopsis cume was named by Schwarzhans and Nielsen (2021). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is SGO.PV.1692, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North of Rio Rapel, which is in a Miocene deep-water sandstone in the Navidad Formation of Chile.
