Taxonomy
Allopinna godleskya was named by Yancey (2024). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Brush Creek pinnid, which is in a Kasimovian marine limestone in the Glenshaw Formation of Pennsylvania. It is the type species of Allopinna.
