Taxonomy
Hypocrinus tschuvashovi was named by Arendt and Vanin (1981). Its type specimen is PIN 3956/1, a calyx, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Koiva River, Section 53, Bed 43b, which is in an Asselian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
