Taxonomy
Octocrinus inconsuetus was named by Peck (1936). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is South of Kimmswick, which is in an Ivorian marine shale in the Fern Glen Formation of Missouri.
It was recombined as Amphipsalidocrinus inconsuetus by Arendt (1970).
