Alaskoceras sewardense
Taxonomy
Plectoceras sewardense was named by Flower (1941) ["Plectoceras" sewardense]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is On crest of ridge between Cassiterite Creek and Lost River, about 5000’ N.12W. o, which is in a Floian marine horizon in the Ol Formation of Alaska. It is the type species of Alaskoceras.
It was recombined as Alaskoceras sewardense by Miller and Kummel (1945).
