Taxonomy
Discinisca davisi was named by Muir-Wood (1939). Its type specimen is BMNH BB I444, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Slipway and Mr. Rendtorff's house, Bracklesham Bay, which is in a Lutetian marine siliciclastic in the Earnley Formation of the United Kingdom.
