Pleuronautilus costalis
Taxonomy
Pleuronautilus costalis was named by Shimansky (1965). Its type specimen is PIN 1572/419, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chanakhchi, Vedioceras Beds, which is in a Changhsingian carbonate limestone in the Ali Bashi Formation of Armenia.
It was recombined as Serometacoceras costale by Korn and Ghaderi (2025).
