Taxonomy
Platyphylloceras okhoticum was named by Repin (1998). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 837/75, a shell (shell), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Viliga River, which is in a Hettangian marine siliciclastic in the Kalyan Formation of the Russian Federation.
