Hongkongichthys youngi
Taxonomy
Hongkongichthys youngi was named by Wang (1997). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is IVPP V11486, a dermal scale, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is PCR-16, Plover Cove Reservoir, which is in a Devonian/Devonian deltaic siliciclastic in the Bluff Head Formation of Hong Kong. It is the type species of Hongkongichthys.
