Taxonomy
Glyptarca serrata was named by Cope (1996). Its type specimen is NMW 78.17G.801 and is a mold. Its type locality is Dan-Ian-y-Castell Farm Quarry, Llangynog, (upper) Bolahaul Member, which is in a Moridunian coastal mudstone in the Ogof Hen Formation of the United Kingdom.
