Taxonomy
Neadmete schwartzi was named by Mount (1970). Its type specimen is LACMIP 1779, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP 471, Vista Entrada, which is in a Piacenzian/Gelasian coastal siltstone in the Niguel Formation of California.
