Taxonomy
Tropaeum (Ancylotropaeum) baylissi was named by Casey (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SW Isle of Wight, Upper Crioceras Beds, which is in an Aptian marine horizon in the Ferruginous Sands Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Tropaeum (Ancylotropaeum).
