Paleocadmus herdinae
Taxonomy
Paleocadmus herdinae was named by Solem and Richardson (1975). Its type specimen is FMNH PE 24538, an other (radula), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pit 11, Braidwood, Mazon Creek (Herdina coll), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Paleocadmus.
