Eternauta patagonica
Taxonomy
Eternauta patagonica was named by Campos et al. (2025). Its type specimen is MLP-PV 85-I-15–1, a partial skeleton (Skull, teeth, a forelimb, and rib fragments), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chacay Melelhue, which is in a Tithonian marine horizon in the Vaca Muerta Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Eternauta.
