Taxonomy
Terebra duplicata was named by Lamarck (1822) [DISTRIBUTION: Recent; Indian Ocean.]. It is extant. It is the type species of Terebra (Duplicaria).

It was recombined as Terebra (Duplicaria) duplicata by Dall (1908); it was recombined as Duplicaria duplicata by Fedosov et al. (2019).
