Taxonomy
Simosteus tuberculatus was named by Dennis and Miles (1982). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gogo Formation, which is in a Frasnian platform/shelf-margin reef limestone/shale in the Gogo Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Simosteus.
