Gerhardodon purbeckensis
Taxonomy
Gerhardodon purbeckensis was named by Kielan-Jaworowska and Ensom (1992) [new genus and species per these authors]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sunnydown Farm Quarry (clay: upper horizon; equivalent to DB 102/103 ), which is in a Berriasian/Berriasian lacustrine - small limestone/claystone in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Gerhardodon.
