Tritheledon riconoi
Taxonomy
Tritheledon riconoi was named by Broom (1912). Its type specimen is SAM 1885, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Paballong, Mount Fletcher (zone B/2), which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian terrestrial horizon in the Elliot Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Tritheledon.
