Taxonomy
Anthodon serrarius was named by Owen (1876). Its type specimen is BMNH 47337, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Steilkrans, Fort Beaufort, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa.
