Taxonomy
Saniwides mongoliensis was named by Borsuk-Bialynicka (1984). Its type specimen is ZPal MgR-I/72. Its type locality is Khulsan (general) [PMPE], which is in a Campanian/Campanian eolian sandstone/sandstone in the Baruungoyot Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Saniwides.
