Hassiacosuchus haupti
Taxonomy
Hassiacosuchus haupti was named by Weitzel (1935) [Museum: ]. Its type specimen is Landesmuseum Darmstadt, Nr. 4415, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Grube Messel Pit (Museum Darmstadt Collection), which is in a MP 11 crater lake claystone in the Messel Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Allognathosuchus haupti by Weitzel (1935) and Berg (1966).
