Taxonomy
Neosciadiocapsa was named by Pessagno (1969) [Sepkoski's age data: K Camp-l]. It is the type genus of Neosciadiocapsidae.

It was assigned to Neosciadiocapsidae by De Wever et al. (2001); and to Nassellaria by Sepkoski (2002).
