Taxonomy
Eucochlis australis was named by Yoo (1988). Its type locality is Marohn Homestead. Yoo Loc. A3. 70 m west of Scone-Gundy road junction, which is in a Tournaisian marine mudstone/limestone in the Dangarfield Formation of Australia.
