Parasuchus bransoni
Taxonomy
Paleorhinus bransoni was named by Williston (1904). Its type specimen is FMNH UC 632, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Popo Agie Creek, which is in a Carnian terrestrial horizon in the Popo Agie Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Paleorhinus.
It was recombined as Palaeorhinus bransoni by Hay (1930); it was recombined as Parasuchus bransoni by Chatterjee (1978) and Kammerer et al. (2016).
