Taxonomy
Gyrodes robustus was named by Waring (1917) [m. kosnik taxon no: 10094]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Southwest of Santa Susana, which is in a Danian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Las Virgenes Formation of California.
It was recombined as Gyrodes (Gyrodes) robustus by Popenoe et al. (1987).
