It was assigned to Cephalaspidea by Sohl (1964); to Mesogastropoda by Allison (1955), Sohl (1964), Hickman (1980) and Squires (1984); to Janthinoidea by Ponder and Warén (1988); to Ptenoglossa by Ward and Blackwelder (1987) and Bouchet et al. (2005); to Hypsogastropoda by Bouchet et al. (2017); and to Caenogastropoda by Cataldo (2017) and Schnetler et al. (2024).
