Taxonomy
Lepetellidae was named by Dall (1881) [m. kosnik taxon no: 5266]. It is extant. Its type is Lepetellinae. It is the type family of Lepetelloidea.

It was assigned to Archaeogastropoda by Wienrich (2001); to Cocculinacea by Knight et al. (1960), Kosnik (2002); and to Lepetelloidea by Beesley (1998), Bouchet et al. (2005).
