Taxonomy
Manzanellidae was named by Chronic (1952) [m. kosnik taxon no: 5017; = Nucinellidae Vokes, 1956; Huxleyidae Scarato and Starobogatov 1971]. It is extant.
It was synonymized subjectively with Nucinellidae by Parker (1982).
It was assigned to Limopsacea by Newell (1965) and Vokes (1980); to Solemyoida by Spencer et al. (2004); and to Manzanelloidea by Coan et al. (2000), Bieler and Mikkelsen (2006), Mikkelsen and Bieler (2008), Nevesskaja (2009), Bouchet et al. (2010), Carter et al. (2011) and Coan and Valentich-Scott (2012).
It was synonymized subjectively with Nucinellidae by Parker (1982).
