Taxonomy
Polinices (Euspira) simiensis was named by Nelson (1925) [m. kosnik taxon no: 10115]. Its type specimen is UC 30710, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 3776, Runkle Canyon, which is in a Selandian marine horizon in the Santa Susana Formation of California.
