It was assigned to Prosobranchiata by Harris and Palmer (1947); to Cerithiacea by Ward and Blackwelder (1987); to Caenogastropoda by Wienrich (2001); and to Triphoroidea by Ponder and Warén (1988), Beesley (1998), Harzhauser (2002), Bouchet et al. (2005), Bouchet et al. (2017).
