Taxonomy
Altadema convexa was named by Kues (2002). Its type specimen is UNM 13,031. Its type locality is Vinton Canyon, which is in the Kashirian/Myachkovian of shale/limestone the Bishop Cap Formation Texas. It is the type species of Altadema.
