Platyzona hespera
Taxonomy
Platyzona hespera was named by Kues and Batten (2001) [= Platyzona n. sp. Kues 1984 f. 3.24 ]. Its type specimen is UNM 7069, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Talpa, which is in a Desmoinesian delta front shale/sandstone in the Flechado Formation of New Mexico.
