Diphydontosaurus avonis
Taxonomy
Diphydontosaurus avonis was named by Whiteside (1986). Its type specimen is BU 23760, a mandible (right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tytherington Quarry, Fissure 2 (Bristol Channel), which is in a Carnian fissure fill limestone/marl in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Diphydontosaurus.
