Kuangyuanpus szechuanensis
Taxonomy
Kuangyuanpus szechuanensis was named by Young (1943). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is locality 49 (3), Chengtu-Sian highway, which is in a Bajocian terrestrial sandstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China. It is the type species of Kuangyuanpus.
It was recombined as Batrachopus szechuanensis by Zhen et al. (1989).

Manus tracks tetradactyl-pentadactyl, about one-third smaller than the pes prints, and have digit proportions I=V < II < III=IV. Digit imprints subparallel. Digits imprinted more strongly than metapodiophalangeal regions, which form faint arches posteriorly. |
