Taxonomy
Stilpnotreta magna was named by Henderson and MacKinnon (1981) [Middle to lower Upper Cambrian; Queensland, New Zealand; lower Upper Cambrian (Marjuman), Alberta]. Its type locality is Bottom Rock, 600 meters ESE of Trilobite Rock, which is in a Boomerangian carbonate limestone in the Tasman Formation of New Zealand.
