Taxonomy
Gamadiscus courtessolei was named by Yochelson (1982) [= Megalomphala sp. indet. (p. 55-56, pl. 15 f. 4-6, 8-9) is the same thing.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Carcassonnella courtessolei by Horný and Peel (1996), Horný (1997), Wagner (2023).
