Taxonomy
Protoconchioides douli was named by Geyer (1994). Its type locality is N of nameless gravel road going E from Mink Creek Rd & parallel to Kinney Creek, which is in a Delamaran carbonate limestone in the Elkhead Limestone Formation of Idaho.
