Pelagiella madianensis
Taxonomy
Auriculaspira madianensis was named by Zhou and Xiao (1984). It is not extant. Its type locality is Huoqiu, Huainan, which is in an Atdabanian/Botomian carbonate limestone in the Yutaishan Formation of China.
It was recombined as Auriculatespira madianensis by He et al. (1984); it was recombined as Pelagiella madianensis by Parkhaev (2001), Wrona (2003), Topper et al. (2009), Wagner (2023).

T. P. Topper et al. 2009 | Dextrally coiled shells displaying an ovoid to triangular, flaring aperture (Fig. 9I, L, O). The internal mould is composed of approximately 1.5 rapidly expanding whorls with the spire lying approximately at the level of the upper apertural margin or slightly lower. The exterior of the moulds bear no ornament. The largest specimen is 1.1 mm long, 660 μm high and has an apertural diameter of 550 μm. |
