Taxonomy
Anisicyrtis was named by Kozur and Mostler (1981). It is extant. It is the type genus of Anisicyrtiidae.

It was assigned to Eucyrtidiidae by De Wever et al. (2001); to Nassellaria by Kiessling (2005); and to Anisicyrtiidae by O'Dogherty et al. (2009).
