Palaeoscincosaurus middletoni
Taxonomy
Palaeoscincosaurus middletoni was named by Sullivan and Lucas (1996). Its type specimen is UCM 34621, a mandible (medial part of left mandible with teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Alexander, which is in a Puercan terrestrial shale/sandstone in the Denver Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Palaeoscincosaurus.
