Taxonomy
Calamagras gallicus was named by Rage (1977). Its type specimen is MNHN Gr 7896 (a single caudal vertebra) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Carrière "Grauves", which is in a Ypresian terrestrial horizon in France.
