Taxonomy
Tallahattaophis dunni was named by Holman and Case (1988). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MSU VP 1189. Its type locality is Point A Dam Site, which is in a Lutetian estuary/bay sandstone/claystone in the Tallahatta Formation of Alabama. It is the type species of Tallahattaophis.
