Taxonomy
Helcionella carinata was named by Rasetti (1957). Its type locality is Mt. Field Section, bed W7ef, which is in a Solvan carbonate limestone in the Mt. Whyte Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Tichkaella carinata by Geyer (1986), Wagner (2023).
