Iranospongia circulata
Taxonomy
Iranospongia circulata was named by Rigby et al. (2005). It is not extant. Its type locality is La Kaftari, Esfahan, which is in a Capitanian shallow subtidal limestone in the Jamal Formation of Iran. It is the type species of Iranospongia.
