Taxonomy
Carcassonnellidae was named by Horný (1997) [elevated to family by Horný & Vonka 2001 (ref #16019)]. It is not extant. Its type is Carcassonnella.

It was assigned to Cyrtonellida by Horný and Vonka (2001); and to Tergomya by Ebbestad and Cope (2021).
