Homaphrodite was named by Gall and Grauvogel (1967) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis-l Sepkoski's reference number: 769]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Aphroditidae by Gall (1971); and to Phyllodocemorpha by Sepkoski (2002).
