Taxonomy
Desmatosuchus smalli was named by Parker (2005). It is not extant. Its type specimen is TTUP 9024. Its type locality is Miller's Ranch Quarry, which is in a Norian floodplain mudstone/sandstone in the Cooper Canyon Formation of Texas.
