Taxonomy
Bavarioboa crocheti was named by Szyndlar and Rage (2003). Its type specimen is USTL, PDS 3102 (one trunk vertebra) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pech Desse, which is in a MP 28 terrestrial horizon in France.
