Kachpurites was named by Spath (1924) [Sepkoski's age data: J Tith-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Craspedites (Kachpurites) by Wright et al. (1996).

It was assigned to Craspedites by Wright et al. (1996); and to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002).
